LYNN CAMP — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats made history Tuesday, notching their 18th win of the season in the form of a 56-24 shellacking of Red Bird, breaking the previous record of 17 (2001-02).
The Lady Cats have now won five of their last six after dropping three straight from Jan. 11-14.
Kayla Smith led the way for Lynn Camp with 13 points, while Merita Burke and Brooklyn Bryant each added eight.
After the win, Lynn Camp head coach Richard Jones said he was pleased with the way his team played and said the chance to play some younger kids was a welcome one.
“We played well tonight and it gave some of our younger girls a chance to play,” Jones said. “I thought they played well tonight.
