FORT KNOX — The Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jacket golf team continued their successful season this past weekend by placing fifth in the Fort Knox Invitational. Bo Robinson’s squad shot a 343 just behind the state’s No. 1 ranked team Sacred Heart (312), Shelby County (338), Glasgow (341) and North Canton Hoover, Ohio (341).
“It was a tough course and one of the longer courses we play,” Robinson said. “Sacred Heart has a very good team. Our girls played some good golf through the day, but all of them had at least one bad hole. Our girls are working hard to get better and they do our school proud.”
Beth Jervis turned in a sixth place effort with a 79 while Kaylee Akins (81), Morgan Walker (91), Julia Higginbotham (92) and Kacie Cox (110) followed.
