LYNN CAMP — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats snapped an eight-game losing streak to 51st District rival Knox Central Thursday by winning in three sets, 25-17, 25-20 and 28-26.
The win improved the Lady Wildcats to 7-6 overall and 7-2 during their last nine games.
“This was a huge win for us,” Lynn Camp coach Cody Dixon said. “We came out ready to play after a really tough day of practice. Yesterday we had what I would say was a focus practice. After our win against Oneida Baptist, we left our jerseys on the bus, so we ran a lot yesterday (Wednesday) and had a really tough practice.
“I was nervous going in, but the girls really responded,” he added. “They were focused and ready to play. They really had some fun out there tonight. I was worried after seeing Knox Central’s score against Whitley County, but we came out ready tonight.”
Lynn Camp will be back in action Tuesday on the road against defending 13th Region champion Corbin.
