BELL COUNTY — South Laurel’s Karli Parker is beginning to heat up at the right time. After scoring three goals during last week’s win over East Jessamine she added five more Thursday to lead the Lady Cardinals past Bell County, 12-0.
The win is South Laurel’s seventh in a row and the Lady Cardinals have outscored their opponents 57-2 during the process.
“I’m really pleased with the way we have been playing,” South Laurel coach Todd White said. “Kristen White had three assists and Karli led us with five goals and she’s really playing well right now.
“I believe our win over East Jessamine really helped us,” he added. “I’m really excited with the way things are going and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Overall, I believe we’ve had a pretty strong season. We just need to continue to improve and I believe we are.”
