BOWLING GREEN — The Corbin Redhound golf team survived the first cut in the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Boys State Golf Championship by turning in an impressive 319.
The Redhounds are currently in eighth place, 26 shots off of first place St. Xavier, who shot a 293. West Jessamine (305), St. Mary (308), Madison Central (316) and Mason County (316) rounded out the top five.
Corbin’s Connor Maguet is tied for 17th place after shooting 76, while Henry Moore is tied for 29th with a 78. Teammates Alex Davis (Tied for 49th, shot an 80), Cody Ellis (tied for 100th, shot an 85) and Luke Cooney (tied for 127th, shot an 89) rounded out the Redhounds’ scoring.
St. Mary’s Joey Mayo is in first place with a 69, while St. Xavier’s Michael Sass is one shot behind with a 70. West Jessamine’s Fred Meyer is in third place with (71) Christian Academy-Louisville’s Ben Montgomery (71) and St. Xavier’s Stephen Stallings (71).
