LOG MOUNTAIN — The North Laurel Lady Jaguars continued to struggle Monday, falling to Bell County on the road, 84-45.
The Lady Jaguars opened the season with five straight losses before knocking off Jackson County last week. Monday’s loss sends them to 1-6 on the season.
Bell County’s Maci Morris led the way for Bell County with an 18-point effort, while Kendall Ellington’s 10 points were tops for the Lady Jaguars.
Bell County jumped ahead early, grabbing a 28-11 lead at the end of the first quarter and extending that lead to 50-21 by the time halftime rolled around.
The margin got even bigger as the second half got underway as the Lady Bobcats pushed the gap to 70-34 with eight minutes left to play in the game.
