The Corbin Lady Redhounds split another tri-match by shooting a 219 at the London Country Club. Rockcastle County captured first place honors by shooting a 186, while Corbin’s 219 was good for second and South Laurel placed third with a 257.

Gabby Sadler led the way for Corbin, as her 47 was good enough for a third place finish. Rockcastle County’s Hannabeth Owens placed first with a 38, while teammate Kristen Bullock finished second with a 45.

“Several of the girls are making big changes to their short game and these changes will produce positive results in the long term,” Corbin coach Guy Jones said. “They are sometimes painful and confusing in the short term. They are dedicated to improving.

“Four of the girls went to Man-O-War Golf to get a private lesson on Saturday and if they continue to do this their overall games will continue to improve,” he added. “I am really pleased and proud of the efforts and attitudes of all the girls this year.”

Lindsay Engle turned in a 53 for Corbin, while Julie Crawford (53), Allison Smith (66) and Lauren Jones (67) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Redhounds.
