Corbin will get back on track

CORBIN — Yes, the Corbin Redhounds are off to a 1-3 start for the second year in a row and yes, this is the first time they’ve lost three games in a row since starting the 2006 campaign with an 0-3 mark, but Redhound fans, there is no reason to hit the panic button just yet. If years past are any indication, the Redhounds will recover. Last season they won five of their last six games to close the regular season out and went 5-2 to close out the 2006 regular season.

Corbin’s game against South Laurel is crucial Friday because the Redhounds need some momentum going into their bye week. They’ll need confidence and momentum because Wayne County won’t be a pushover on Sept. 28 and the loser of that game could very well be the district’s three seed, which means a road playoff game in the first round.

With that said, Corbin needs to win Friday and will.
