After 26 games played this past week, a 17-9 pick’ems record isn’t too bad, is it? Hopefully, I’ll be able to do a better job next week during the boys’ and girls’ 13th Region Tournament games.
So with that said, who are the teams to beat heading into next week’s regional tournaments?
On the boys’ side, Corbin is the hands down favorite, but you can’t rule out Clay County either. I still believe South Laurel could be a factor along with Bell County, Knox Central and North Laurel.
On the girls’ side, I believe it’s a toss-up.
Of course, I’m going to go with the favorite — Clay County, but if North Laurel can get the right draw, the Lady Jaguars could have something to say about who will win the region tournament. You also can’t count out South Laurel or Harlan County.
So folks, enjoy your time at The Arena next week. Both tournaments should be good entertainment.
