Fritts sentenced to 15 years

CORBIN —

By John L. Ross / Staff Writer

Doyle "Stan Boy" Fritts, found guilty in February of several charges related to a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone with his brothers, received a 15-year sentence today from U.S. District Judge Gregory F. Van Tatenhove.

Upon release, Fritts will receive three years supervised probation.

Fritts' defense attorney Eric Edwards did make three objections in an effort to reduce the sentence, but it did not help. After overruling all objections, Van Tatenhove told Fritts "you didn't say no" and felt his criminal record was "understated."
