Go buy the book

CORBIN — Some folks dream of a room full of books at their house, but in the case of the Laurel County Public Library, their Community Room was overflowing with them Wednesday afternoon.

The library staff was getting the books in place for their Annual Fall Book Sale at the library in London Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The sale will take place today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and this Saturday is “Bag Day,” where each full bag of books only costs $2. “The proceeds from the book sale go to help various programs for all ages at the library year-round,” said Gwen Stivers, the library’s Adult Programs Coordinator.

A special preview sale for Friends of the Library members was held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. If you need more information, call the library at 864-5759, or go to their website at www.laurellibrary.org.
