CORBIN — Times-Tribune Staff Report
On Thursday, Kentucky Utility workers moved electric lines from an old electric pole to a new one at the intersection of College and West Fifth streets in London.
The new pole has been set back from Fifth Street after several vehicles have struck it, said KU Engineer Chase Mills.
According to London Police Chief Stewart Walker, it’s the first movement of utility poles along the street. He said eventually the Fifth Street hill passing the Bennett Center will be flattened, a curve fixed and the road widened.
